MKT60 sources and methodology
How MKT60 selects official economic data, calculates changes and presents company reports and market context.
What the dashboard can establish
Currencies come from ECB reference observations; US yields from the Treasury; euro-area inflation from Eurostat. Changes compare consecutive available observations, not necessarily today’s trading session. Each value keeps its original date.
Market State
Financial stress uses the OFR Financial Stress Index (global, daily, normally two business days behind): zero is its usual stress level; positive values indicate above-usual stress. We display the index and change in points, not a direct risk-appetite score. Growth outlook uses the OECD amplitude-adjusted Composite Leading Indicator for G20 (monthly; long-term average 100). It signals the economic cycle, not a GDP growth rate. Regional CLI detail is available in Markets for the US, four major European economies (France, Germany, Italy, UK), Japan and China. Arrows show change from the prior comparable observation; they are not investment ratings. Missing data is never treated as neutral or zero.
Market breadth uses TradingView S5FI: the share of S&P 500 stocks above their 50-day moving average, not global breadth. Semiconductor momentum displays SOXX, a sector ETF and an imperfect proxy for AI-related equities. Those two readings stay inside their official TradingView widgets. No proprietary Strong/Weak score is calculated.
Context and answers
Morning Brief, changes and answers are generated with fixed rules from the published snapshot. No AI model, licensed news feed, Fed probability model or stock-specific causal analysis is connected. Changes and Morning Brief use the same rendering rules in static HTML and JavaScript; daily observations and monthly context retain both comparison dates. The explanatory factors describe possible channels, not proven causes of market moves.
Stocks to Watch
This is a curated cross-sector SEC reporting watchlist, not a whole-market stock screener or a personal portfolio. Covered US symbols: NVDA, AAPL, GOOGL, MSFT, AMZN, META, AVGO, TSLA, MU, LLY, AMD, JPM, WMT, V, XOM, JNJ, COST, CVX, BAC, CAT, DIS, BA, ASML. Coverage spans technology, financials, energy, healthcare, retail, industrials and consumer businesses. Selection is by filing recency, not investment attractiveness. Up to three companies are selected by latest filing date, at most one report per company, from the past 14 calendar days. Eligible forms: 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, 6-K and 20-F, including amendments. Ownership transaction forms are excluded. Event details are extracted with conservative rules from supported primary 8-K document sections (results announcements, credit agreements and merger agreements). A short attributed excerpt supports each extracted event. Unsupported documents or failed retrievals show explicitly labelled metadata-only context. Linked exhibits are not analysed; no earnings surprise, closing status or price impact is inferred. Verified document details may be reused for the same accession; amendments have distinct accessions. Sources are SEC submissions metadata, linked to issuer documents; SEC publication is not SEC endorsement. Original filing dates, report dates where available, cached-source warnings and last check time are retained. Failed checks preserve reports only within the 14-day window. No availability on Revolut is assumed. SEC access policy.
Official headlines
The automatic reading list selects up to five releases published within the past 14 days, preferring the latest available release in each covered region (US, Europe, Asia), then filling remaining places by publication date, with at most two per source. Fewer than five may appear when sources have no recent releases. Asia currently covers Japan, not the entire region. Duplicate URLs and titles are removed. Original source titles and publication dates are retained; Japan's list is filtered for prices, employment, consumption and business activity. Only institutional releases are collected: Fed monetary-policy releases, BEA releases, ECB statistical releases and Statistics Bureau of Japan updates. No article bodies, images or named-author ECB research papers are reproduced. MKT60 context is generated from title-based topic rules; it is not a summary of the release or a causal market explanation. Ask the market does not read these headlines.
Checks are scheduled on weekdays at 08:30 and 16:30 Europe/Bucharest, including daylight-saving changes; job execution may be delayed. Failed sources retain cached titles with original dates and visible warnings, for at most 14 days. An edition unchecked for over 36 hours is marked overdue. These original releases are available free at the linked institutions; no affiliate links are used.
Reuse and attribution: Federal Reserve Board: public-domain information, unless otherwise stated; US Bureau of Economic Analysis: public-domain information, unless otherwise stated; European Central Bank: accurate reproduction with attribution under its reuse conditions; Statistics Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Japan: Public Data License 1.0 / CC BY 4.0-compatible terms. Titles are reproduced from the institutions; context is added by MKT60. No institution endorses MKT60.
Market widgets
TradingView supplies embedded prices, charts and the calendar. Its data is not extracted into our summaries. Exchange delays and instrument types are displayed by the provider. Public data access does not grant unrestricted redistribution rights.
Source attribution & reuse
Office of Financial Research, “OFR Financial Stress Index”, refreshed daily; MKT60 republishes the OFR aggregate, not its proprietary input series. OFR notices. OECD (2026), Composite leading indicators, OECD Data Explorer, accessed on the edition collection date shown above. Amplitude-adjusted OECD aggregates are reproduced with attribution; onward reuse must retain OECD attribution. OECD terms. Neither organisation endorses MKT60.
